Research for a new exciting project for a show at the Tel Aviv Museum

December 16, 2016

These days, I'm working on a challenging project, a multi- media show opening at The Tel Aviv Museum in May. It is a collaboration with the musician Nadav Reboe (Naduve) who will write a musical score for the show. It is curated by Hagit Werner and Tal Lanir.

The work is inspired by an article by Prof. Eran Meshorer and Prof. Liran Carmel. Both researchers recently compared the genome of the Neanderthal, Danisovan and Homo-Sapiens, by sequencing epigenome  that was drawn from two teeth of a Danisovan man. This research had led them to incredible discoveries regarding the human voice. The show will combine drawings, animation, installation and music. Here is some of the research towards the upcoming show.

Artist in residence, the faculty of Science, the Hebrew University 2015-16

During 2015-16, my artistic practice went ‘through the looking glass’ journey’.
I was given an exceptional opportunity: The Hebrew University appointed me as visiting artist at its Life and Computer Sciences Safra Campus for one year. This incredible adventure played a crucial part in both expanding and sharpening my current artistic practice. I dove deeper into an exciting and thought-provoking pursuit in collaboration with a wide range of researchers, from far removed fields of research.
My collaborations led me to travel in time and scale.crafts. In the program, I collaborated with researchers from various faculties and institutes. This access nourished and shaped the body of the work.

This blog will present my encounters, conversations, process, findings new projects that a currently arising after this adventure.
